North American Helium has invested more than half a billion dollars in facilities like this across Saskatchewan’s southwest since the Calgary-based company’s inception in 2013. In less than five years of operation, it now produces about 85 per cent of Canada’s helium, which is created deep beneath the earth’s surface through the radioactive decay of uranium and thorium.

Calgary, September 16, 2024 - North American Helium Inc. (“NAH” or the “Company”) today announced that its 9th helium purification facility is now operational at Antelope Lake in southwest Saskatchewan. The Company also announces that, as a result of ongoing success and growth of the business, it has reached a significant investment milestone of $0.5 billion in Saskatchewan.

At a time when helium supply remains firmly in the headlines, 2024 has been another year punctuated by high growth for Canada-based North American Helium (NAH). 

North American Helium announced several updates supporting the continued growth of its business, including plans to add two additional helium purification facilities in Saskatchewan, and an expansion to its credit facility to $150 million.
